New Treatment for Dry Macular Degeneration

Carl Regillo, MD, Chief of the Retina Service at Wills Eye Hospital, discusses a new treatment for advanced dry macular degeneration. The drug Pegcetacoplan (Syfovre) was approved by the FDA in February 2023 for treatment of geographic atrophy, the advanced form of dry macular degeneration.
